We have seen a dramatic rise in the number of homes that have been foreclosed on. But, we are also seeing a lot of them not stay on the market for very long. It is a great time to look for a first time home or to find a home which offers you a higher quality home for a low price!
It used to be that when someone would use the term “foreclosure” that in your mind it would be a home that would not be in a neighborhood that you would want to raise a family in. That is no longer the case. Because of the economy there are some amazing deals on foreclosed homes in really nice southern Utah neighborhoods.
When you buy a foreclosed home, you should be aware that the home is usually sold “as is”. You can ask for a professional to come look at it and give you their opinion before you purchase the home. Remember that a little bit of touch up can go a long way in upgrading the home after you close. There are homes that need a lot of fixing up, but you can usually get them at a very competitive price and still get a great deal on the home.
